{Emily & Daniel} Central Minnesota Vintage Backyard Wedding

Emily & Daniel put so much work and planning into turning Emily's childhood home into the perfect, most stunning wedding location. They planned on an outdoor ceremony with the reception in the shed. As I watched the forecast each day, I was certain that we were in for a rainy wedding day. . . . and we were. . . BUT it is funny how these things work out. This is my fourth rainy wedding of the year and EVERY TIME we have managed to get lucky with when the rain fell and managed to work around the rain.

Emily and Daniel's wedding turned out perfectly! It was a day filled with so much emotion and two wonderful families coming together to support this fabulous couple! I feel so blessed that I was allowed to be a part of it. They are a truly special couple and seem to balance each other so well.

Emily & Daniel did not want to see each other before the wedding ceremony but they did want to talk and enjoy as much time together as they could. So they met while blind-folded and had such a sweet moment together.

After their sweet moments together, we split to take portraits of the girls and the guys before the ceremony.

The ceremony truly was the beginning of their happily ever after. It was filled with so much love, joy, and tears as they were surrounded by the people they love. It started to rain but no one cared. Emily's dog "Noche" joined her up front as the couple exchanged their vows. The horses looked on from their pasture and everything was right in the world.

After the ceremony, their guests proceeded to the reception while we did pictures. As time went on it started to rain but I think that they were on such a high as newlyweds that they didn't even care. It was just light rain and the images are so worth it! Look at how in love these two are!!!!

When we first talked about their wedding they told me that they were getting married at Emily's parents house and the reception would be in the shed. Well, lets just say that I really didn't know what to expect because when you say the reception is in the "shed" my mind immediately went to my father-in-laws shed that is packed with stuff from 20 or 30 year ago. Needless to say, I wasn't prepared for them to completely decorate it with wood pallets for walls, lace, vintage frames, deer antlers, tulle, greenery and roses everywhere. It was beautiful!!!

Disclaimer: sparklers in a tent = lots of smoke! Congratulations Emily and Daniel! Thank you for sharing your special day with me!
