Mary & Alex had the most beautiful wedding at Rustic Oaks in the countryside by Moorhead, MN. It is a lovely venue that spans many acres and a photographers dream. Pair that with the most genuine, caring, lovely couple and that makes for one lucky photographer.
The couple choose a lovely burgundy and peach color scheme and it was simply beautiful! Mary wore a beautiful Mori Lee gown and carried a stunning bouquet with burgundy dahlias, peach roses, and orchids. Alex was looking dapper in his suit and orchid boutonierre. Together, they were one sharp looking couple!
Mary and Alex are seriously one of the sweetest couples I have worked with. I am so blessed with so many lovely couples. Their families showed me why because they were just the best. Always making sure that I was taken care of... so sweet! I was lucky to have worked with Alex's family before when I photographed his brothers wedding a couple of years ago. So nice to work with great family's again!
Read on to see the lovely details and the special surprise Mary had for Alex.
Alex and Mary's first look was so sweet but it didn't end there because Mary had a special surprise for her groom...
A PUPPY!!!
She surprised him with the most adorable little chocolate lab. Then they got to spend their portrait time trying to decide on a name for her. I would like everyone to meet...
BELLA!
What a stunning bride and groom and wedding party!!!
After picture time, it was time to head to the little town of Horace, ND for the ceremony.
Beautiful church but the ring bearer and flower girl sort of stole the show when the drove a Polaris Razor down the aisle! That is until the stunning Mary came down to meet her groom.
They are married!!! Then it was time to return to Rustic Oaks to celebrate in their barn. Guests were greeted with signature cocktails and a deck of playing cards for a party favor. Their custom designed logo by Michelle Keller, adorned their favors and their centerpieces and was such a sweet touch.
They had a "Generations of Love" tribute to their parents and grandparents that turned out beautifully and was admired by many. The wedding party didn't disappoint with their grand entrance. The wedding party sat family style in the middle of the barn so everyone could see them. We snuck away for the cake cutting. Funny story, the tiered cake was actually completely destroyed when it tipped over prior to the reception. But no one knew the difference. All they knew was that it tasted delicious. Then I found out that Alex helped his grandmother make the cakes and I have to say it was one of the best wedding cakes I have ever had! My time ended after the first dances and I was sad to go with a packed dance floor and what was sure to be a wonderful night!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lovgren!
